A funny thing happened on the way to the checkerboard

The 2010 Wiarton Willie Festival kicks off with "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Checkerboard" an old time musical/comedy/variety show to be presented at Peninsula Shores District School in Wiarton.

CHOG Radio, with studios in downtown Purple Valley..., will broadcast this event live as audience members are introduced to such local luminaries as Harold Grumbly, self-proclaimed authority on Peninsula history, Bernice Buckans, Lion's Head-based life coach as well as Shaymus and Shelley from the CHOG's morning show, Purple Valley Sunrise. There will be tips for newly arrived residents to help with their assimilation into Peninsula culture as well as lessons in tracking the illusive marmotas blondis.
