South Bruce Peninsula is constructing a new Town Hall at 370 William St., Wiarton, on the site of the former grocery store. To ensure fiscal responsibility, the structures existing steel frame will be repurposed, saving millions of dollars. However, this design choice limits the ability to add height, including a second story. The ceiling height will be 15.7 ft., the height may impact certain recreational uses, but we encourage all ideas.
After allocating the necessary space for municipal operations, approximately 10,000 sq. ft. remains available. We are seeking community input on how to best utilize this area to maximize benefits for residents and businesses.
Survey results will be reviewed and summarized by staff and presented to Council at an upcoming Council meeting.
