Public Notice/Meeting

Council held their second public planning meeting to consider public comments with regards to file Z-2020-076 Kurtz, 622 Mallory Beach Road. No comments were received.
Delegations
-
Council received a delegation from Joe Vanderzand on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 regarding the Wiarton Cenotaph and issues with his property behind the Cenotaph. He spoke about repairing the monument, removal and replacement of the flower beds, removing and replacing the retaining wall, installing a new mural, moving the water meter to his building and the septic servicing for his property. Staff were directed to bring a report to Council regarding the items and Mr. Vanderzand will be invited as a delegation when the report is discussed by Council.

Council received a delegation from Marianne Love, ML Consulting regarding pay equity. This delegation was heard in Closed Session.
New Business and Matters of Urgency

Council agreed to allocate fifty percent (50%) of the investment income on general funds earned in 2020 to eligible contributing reserve funds in accordance with Section 7.e of the Town’s Reserve and Reserve Fund Policy (TR.20.1) and directed staff to present the remaining funds with the year end surpluses for Council to consider use of the remaining money.

Council received the 2020 annual report submitted by the Integrity Commissioner and directed staff directed to place the annual report on the Town website for public viewing.

Council directed staff that the necessary by-law to deem Lot 86, Lot 85 and Part Lot 84 Plan 320 not to be lots in a plan of subdivision be placed on an upcoming Council agenda for consideration.

Council directed staff that the conditions for consent B-2020-125, 885 Bayview Street, Baumgarten shall be that the applicant shall pay an administration fee of $350.00 to the Town and that the owner obtains an appraisal of the subject lands which shall be used as the basis for the calculation of a 5% cash in lieu of parkland contribution.

Council directed staff that the condition for consent B-2020-081, 423 Lakeshore Blvd N, Whiting shall be that the applicant shall pay an administration fee of $350.00 to the Town.

Council received report LS19-2021 Quarry Application, 180 Fieldside Road, Crigger for information.

Council directed staff that the necessary by-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Barbara Joan Twining Estate and Alberta Lemon for lease of the sand beach at Sauble Beach be placed on an upcoming Council agenda for consideration.

Council directed staff that the necessary by-law to permit the Mayor and Clerk to execute a site plan control agreement with Jussi Korpikoski, Ulpu Korpikoski, Lauri Korpikoski and Jaakko Korpikoski for lands legally described as Pt Park Lot 1 Pl Wiarton as in R21143 except Pt 1 & 2 3R3620; S/T R107367 (535 Isaac Street) is placed on the agenda of an upcoming Council meeting for consideration and that the developer is notified that the agreement will include provision that the planting shown on the east lot line will include trees which are a minimum of 10 feet tall.

Council directed staff that the necessary by-law to regulate motor vehicle racing and the racing facilities at the Sauble Speedway is placed on the agenda of an upcoming Council meeting for consideration
