The Council for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula is seeking dynamic individuals to serve on the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee.
Preference will be given to individuals with a background and/or experience in parks, recreation and culture promotion and programming. Candidates must have a demonstrated interest in South Bruce Peninsula service delivery.
The Committee Terms of Reference is available on the Town website. The Terms of Reference explain the mandate and focus of the Committee. There is no remuneration for serving on the Committee. Volunteers are required to adhere to all applicable policies, by-laws, regulations and legislation.
Interested individuals are invited to submit letters of interest to the undersigned no later than Friday February 24, 2023 at 4:00 pm. In your letter, please indicate your experience, education (if relevant) and any information which you feel would make you a preferred candidate to serve on the Committee. Letters of interest may be submitted in person during regular business hours, by email, mail or may be placed in the drop box on the George Street entrance of Town Hall.
Letters of interest will be considered by Council in an open meeting and will be posted on the Council agenda, subject to rules of procedure. Please do not submit any information in your letter of interest that you do not wish to be considered publicly. Council will make appointments to the Committee as appropriate, in Council’s sole discretion.
