On July 7, 2023, the Gerritsen family’s life was changed when they received a customized medical stretcher from Techlem Stretchers.
Sienna Gerritsen is a South Bruce Peninsula resident who was born at 25 weeks gestation. Sienna is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, scoliosis she has chronic lung disease and is deaf. Even with her multiple physical impairments, Sienna maintains a zest for life through parasport playing Boccia with Grey Brue Boccia.
Techlem Stretchers customized stretcher provides Sienna with increased accessibility and mobility. The stretcher can fit through doorways, Sienna no longer has to be confined to one room while maintaining special physio positioning.
“Techlem Stretcher’s donation is very appreciated. Their gift will have a lasting impact on one of our local families and we cannot thank you enough” says Mayor Garry Michi.
Dr. Anurag Sinha, owner of Techlem Stretchers also generously donated a wheelchair to South Bruce Peninsula. The wheelchair will be available for patrons to use while at the Wiarton Arena.
