North America’s fastest-growing intercity bus service, announced today the launch of a new seasonal extension of its Toronto–Owen Sound route, connecting travelers directly to some of Ontario’s most popular summer destinations. Starting May 15, FlixBus will expand its service to Sauble Beach, Southampton, and Port Elgin, making it easier and more affordable than ever to enjoy a beach getaway this summer.

“With summer travel season just around the corner, we’re thrilled to offer Ontarians and visitors a convenient, sustainable way to reach some of the province’s best-loved beach towns,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications at Flix North America. “This route extension reflects our commitment to connecting more communities across Canada and giving travelers easy, budget-friendly access to top seasonal destinations.”

The new service will operate daily, seven days a week, linking major hubs including Toronto Union Station Bus Terminal, Toronto Pearson Airport, Barrie, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Blue Mountain Village, Thornbury, Meaford, Owen Sound, South Bruce Peninsula Visitor Center, Sauble Beach, Southampton, and Port Elgin. Travelers can connect seamlessly from Toronto and Pearson Airport, integrating with FlixBus’s broader Eastern Canada network and allowing for weekend trips from the city.

Passengers can look forward to a modern onboard experience, including free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, power outlets at every seat, and the convenience of reserving their seat in advance, all at an affordable price point.

“We’re excited to welcome FlixBus to Sauble Beach” said Mayor Jay Kirkland “This expanded route offers a safe and affordable travel option that opens our region to more visitors and new opportunities. It’s a win for local businesses, residents, and tourists alike.”

“Expanding access to Sauble Beach and neighbouring communities through this new FlixBus route aligns with our ongoing efforts to boost tourism and enhance regional connectivity,” said Danielle Edwards, Manager of Economic Development and Corporate Communications. “This new connection will attract more visitors to local businesses and support attendance at community events throughout the season.”

Tickets for the new route are available now at flixbus.com and via the FlixBus app.
