South Bruce Peninsula has a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities which are host to a number of year-round recreation programs. 

There are also many community organizations which offer activities for the community to enjoy.

Art (Make Your Own Tote Bag! Printmaking Class)

Make a statement with your own personally designed tote!

Join Michelle Minke for this 2-hour printmaking workshop where you will create a design you can print on a cotton tote, and watercolor paper using relief block printing technique.

In this workshop, you will use tools to carve into a soft, flexible medium and create a design that you can print onto paper and a cotton tote.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy in.
Come with an image or idea of your design!

Indoor Walking

Free indoor walking session at the Sauble Beach Community Centre, Amabel Room

9am-10am, each Wednesday from September 2022- May 2023

No pre-registration required, remember to bring indoor shoes.

Annual Pass:

Sauble Beach Pickleball takes place at the Sauble Beach Community Centre on the following dates:

Monday (April only)

6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Novice

7:30 pm to 9:00 pm Intermediate 

Tuesday

9:30 am to 11:00 am Intermediate

11:00 am to 12:30 pm Intermediate

12:30 pm to 2:00 pm Novice 

Wednesday

5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Novice

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Intermediate

Thursday 

6:00 pm to 7:30 pm Mixed

7:30 pm to 9:00 pm Intermediate

Plant-Based Nutrition and Cooking Workshop

Plant-Based Nutrition Workshops with Dr. Larry Schmidt and Chef Dori
Interested in improving your general health and wellness? Plant-based diets are proven to positively affect your overall health, especially in areas like disease prevention and weight loss.
Learn real, transferrable skills in this 3 hour class where you will hear a short educational talk from Dr. Larry Schmidt, accompanied by a cooking class with Chef Dori. Learn general culinary skills and how to practically introduce more healthy options into your diet, while having fun (and being fed) in the process! Each class focuses on something different.

Join in for a fitness class in the pool using various arm movements and patterns. Classes are 50 mins.

Therapeutic Horticulture

Therapeutic Horticulture Programs with Amy Petersen, HTR in Wiarton and Sauble

Join us for Horticulture Therapy workshops where you will be invited to connect with nature in meaningful ways through the 5 senses. Register for all sessions, or select what workshops interest you most. Each one will offer a unique experience that will bring you closer to the natural environment and support your social, emotional, mental and physical health and wellbeing.

Tennis

There are three tennis courts in South Bruce peninsula that are used for Tennis and Pickleball in the summer months. 

Tennis Pass holders can use the courts during reserved times, all other times are first come first served and pay as you play.

Yoga (Chair)

This class is focused on restoring and maintaining mobility of the joints, breath work, and practicing seated/standing stretches by the chair.

Yoga (Gentle)

This class includes mostly slow repetitive movements on the mat to loosen up connective tissue, breath work, and practice restorative poses to gradually stretch the muscles for gaining optimal range of motion.
