Pay a Parking Ticket

For your convenience, the Town of South Bruce Peninsula accepts online parking ticket payments using Visa or MasterCard through our online service provider, Gtechna.

Pay your parking ticket online 

Payments can be made online by visiting the Gtechna website.  Parking Tickets issued in the past 15 days are eligible to be paid using this service.  Notices of Impending Conviction issued in the past 30 days are eligible to be paid using this service. 

Before you start

Please have the following items available before starting your transaction:

  • Ticket number
  • Vehicle licence plate number
  • Visa or MasterCard credit card information, including your three-digit security code

A non-refundable convenience fee of $2.50 per ticket is charged by Gtechna, the Town's online ticket payment provider.

Each ticket must be entered separately.

Please disable any pop-up blockers, as the payment screen will open in a new window

If the ticket has been sent to court for collection, payments cannot be processed online

Payments made before 8 p.m. will be processed the next business day

If you have received a Notice of Impending Conviction, payment must be made at least two business days prior to the due date to avoid additional fees

Other payment options

There are other ways to pay a parking ticket:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

By cash, cheque or debit at Town Hall, Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

After hours

By cash or cheque in the Town Hall after hours drop box 

By mail

By mailing a cheque (do not send cash in the mail) with the parking ticket number, addressed to: 
Town of South Bruce Peninsula,
315 George St, PO Box 310,
Wiarton, Ontario N0H2T0 

Parking ticket processing and fees

 Paying within 15 days of receiving the ticket

Pay the face value of the ticket

 

If paying by credit card, you will also have to pay the transaction fee for paying with a credit card

 Paying between 16 and 45 days of receiving the ticket

Pay the face value of the ticket plus

Pay an administration charge of $35.00

 

If paying by credit card, you will also have to pay the transaction fee for paying with a credit card

 Paying after 45 days

Pay the face value of the ticket plus

Pay an administration charge of $35.00 plus

Pay a court administration charge of $16

 

Ticket will be forwarded to the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice for collection

 

Dispute a ticket

Disputing a ticket means that you wish to go to court to fight the ticket.  To do this, you will need to sign the back of the ticket and mail it to the address indicated.  It is also helpful if you provide a phone number and email contact.  The ticket will be forwarded to the Ontario Provincial Court of Justice for trial.

Questions about your ticket

You may not need to go to court to fight the ticket.  If you have questions about your ticket, would like to explain your situation or are not sure if you should dispute the ticket (go to court), please contact the Clerk's Department at 519-534-1400 Ext 122.
