South Bruce Peninsula Council Endorses Construction of New Town Hall at 370 William Street

South Bruce Peninsula, March 19, 2024 – South Bruce Peninsula Council proudly announces its support for the construction of a new Town Hall at 370 William Street, marking a significant milestone in the Town's development. This decision reflects Council's commitment to enhancing community infrastructure while ensuring fiscal responsibility and environmental sustainability.

Council's endorsement includes the innovative proposal to utilize the existing building's steel-framed structure for the new Town Hall. By doing so, construction costs are expected to be reduced by up to 25%. Furthermore, Council recommends the incorporation of additional governmental services, such as a Library, in the design options, underscoring the town's commitment to accessible, multifunctional community spaces.

Council also committed to public engagement and robust consultation on any future development phases or site amenities that may be considered at a later date.
