In South Bruce Peninsula Site Plan Control is a tool used to regulate development and ensure that certain standards and regulations are being met. The goal of Site Plan Control is to improve the appearance and look of the Town by applying consistent standards and guidelines to development.
The Site Plan Control process includes the submission of an application which includes the applicable fee and associated plans, studies and drawings. In order to apply you must first ensure that the property is zoned and has the proper Official Plan designation for the proposed use. Site Plan Control applications are processed by Town staff who will review and provide comments to the applicant. A by-law will be presented to Council for their consideration. This process can take a few months depending on the complexity of the proposal. Please contact the Town Clerk (519-534-1400 ext 122) for further information.
